Babywearing Guidance
for Professionals

This is a workshop for birth and postpartum professionals.
Doulas, midwives, lactation consultants, kraamzorgs, etc. are welcome to attend to learn about the benefits of babywearing and how to share them with families.
Babywearing can be a tremendous tool for families that are struggling to get a free hand, to care for themselves, or are dealing with postpartum depression, anxiety, or trauma. As such, it is important that health care professionals and birth workers recognize and understand the various benefits babywearing provides to both babies and parents. Professionals can “prescribe” babywearing as a tool to help with bonding, anxiety, depression, and overall support. We will discuss the various ways babywearing can help families both physically and emotionally so that you can use this understanding in your work to support the families you work with.
